The Mediterranean is anyways renowned for its good, fresh food, and Ibiza town features some of the best restaurants you have ever been to. The food is delicious, the ambience impeccable and all goes with the holiday mood. With a wide coast line, sea food is something which Ibiza specializes in . So be ready for lobster, crab, swordfish or some grilled prawns cooked in Spanish style to whet your appetite. Seafood,
in general, features high on every menu . It’s deliciously fresh and served in a number of ways, including paella.
The natives are big meat eaters, and their stews, spicy sausages
and game are fantastic. Essential ingredients in Spanish recipes are meat, poultry and game cooked with garlic, olives and sweet and hot peppers. Pies, rice dishes such as paella, tortillas and casseroles are also very famous dishes in Ibiza.
Vegetarians may have to hunt more carefully for good food, but there are great
salads to be had, and the tapas tortillas are wonderful. The fresh fruit juices are always fabulous as you’d expect as Ibiza is lined with orange trees!, and the local beers tasty – perfect with tapas. Tapas is a selection of small dishes and is great for tasting the variety of flavours Spanish cuisine can offer. It’s generally eaten for lunch or with a couple of drinks in the bar. The tapas bars are something very common in Ibiza.
Since Ibiza focuses on tourism the most, you have the food from all over the world incorporated here. Italian, French, Dutch, German ,Thai, Chinese and Japanese restaurants are all around the island, so you won’t feel too far away from home while visiting Ibiza.
